The Aromapflege Congress is a central event for professionals in aromatherapy and care, promoting the exchange of knowledge and ideas. Following the 2024 event, I undertook a comprehensive overhaul of the website to create a modern, high-performance, and user-friendly platform.

Development and Enhancements

Transition to a Custom Payload CMS

The original website utilized Nuxt and Prismic as the CMS. To improve performance, usability, and content management flexibility, I replaced Prismic with a custom Payload CMS. This change allows for easier and more adaptable content management for future events.

Nuxt 3 Frontend with Server-Side Rendering

I maintained the frontend in Nuxt 3 with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to ensure top SEO performance and fast load times. This approach enhances the site's visibility and accessibility, providing users with a seamless experience.

User Experience Improvements

To enhance user experience, I implemented both Light and Dark Modes, allowing users to choose their preferred viewing mode. The design adheres to the congress's corporate identity, focusing on a clean and minimalist aesthetic that aligns with the professional nature of the event.

Results

The website refactoring led to significant performance improvements. Switching to Payload CMS simplified content management, making it more efficient. The addition of Light and Dark Modes offers a flexible and user-friendly experience, while the clean, brand-aligned design emphasizes the professional nature of the congress. The site is now fully prepared to support future events, enhancing networking and learning opportunities for participants.
